Portfolio > My Land

This installation piece creates an experience that describes the high degree of uncertainty, helplessness and instability of life under conflict. The pitch dark room blocks the view of the future while the slanted floor unsettles the present. As the viewers walk on the floor a loud breaking and cracking sound fills the space. As they seek the way out they grope in the darkness; following the walls of the dark room and feeling the hidden sheet glass crack as they step on it. This experience is disorienting, but gradually the viewer’s body adjusts to the space, and he/she learns how to move within this unstable situation.
